Hello!
Today is Saturday! Sorry I did not blog yesterday but I have a lot to catch you up on. Thursday Britany and I went to meet with Kristi and it was great! She can help us with exactly what we need. When we got there she did measurements and tested us in all these categories such as flexibility, strength, our blood pressure ect. This machine that she used was extremely cool. She gave us a print out of everything. She was really excited to help us with our project and she thinks that WISE is an awesome thing. We are going to take the tests again at the end and compare our results. She also made a training schedule for the next 12 weeks for us! This was very cool because we have a print out of what we have to do everyday from now until the day of the race. We also set up a time to meet with her once a week to help us train. We spent about an hour and a half with her. After we left we where even more excited about our project. When I got home I went on a run with my friend Lindsey who is also in WISE. It was a really good run and it made it go buy quickly when I was running with a friend. She also was helpful because she motivated me when I was tired. Every Friday is our rest days so yesterday I did not run. I did purchase a running magazine which I found some really cool articles in there. This morning I worked out for a half hour because she said to do that on Saturdays because on Sundays we have to run at least 4 miles! Tomorrow I will let you know how it goes! Britany and I want to come up with different and interesting routs so that we are not always running the same places and get board. I am loving my project so far!
The four mile run went pretty well yesterday! It cool how we both blog about the same things, but in our own ways! I can't wait for swimming and spinning for our cross training(:
